This book shows in an exceptional and clear way the interpretive / cultural language of the rumba through exercises, rhythms, genres, types of groups and the different styles but places special emphasis on improvisation and its interpretive language. In an exceptional way, the author presents 14 transcriptions of Quinto drum, cajon and bonko enchemiya Solos from the most emblematic rumba groups such as Los Muñequitos de Matanzas, Afro Cuba de Matanzas or Los Papines. The texts of the singers and choirs appear in all the transcriptions. The CD contains the backing tracks for the transcriptions that are also recorded by the author. Also the bases of the genres Yambu, Guaguanco, Columbia, Abakua, guarapachangueo and Guarapachaguito.
Practicing with the backing tracks is like playing with a real rumba group!
The accompanying audio CD is so interesting that students will have a hard time putting the book away!
